We’re sitting rooftop at the cheesecake factory, looking over Union Square. The sun is shining, we’re in our t-shirts in early February enjoying the best cheesecakes ever (trust me we know, we’re cheese cake crazies), this… is life. It’s times like these when San Francisco gives you a nice break from Toronto winter I’ve been to S.F. a million times, my wife is from there, I’ve even lived there with her for a bit – I’ll go back anyday (only to visit though!).
So when our good friend, Prabhsharandeep Singh, asked to fly us over to photograph his wedding – we were on it… so fast.
There’s some photo’s of us at the end shooting and EATING! Mmmmmm…. cheeeesecake
-kamal.
p.s. I’m so ridiculously behind on my e-mails/phone calls… I’m gonna make a promise that I’ll respond to all my emails at least once a day from now on – that’ll be a nice break from editing.
And finally, here we are. I’m the one with the big pugh, Satty’s got the small pugh and Juggy sports a no-pugh This first photo’s red because of the brake lights on the car ahead of us:
Just a quick update, we’re in San Francisco photographing/filming Jaspreet & Prabhsharan until Wednesday, February 17th. I’m trying to get to all the emails, but please be patient
Lots (and lots, and lots…) of updates coming soon!
This wedding is one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever witnessed. It’s easily one of the highlights of my career. It was a wonderful experience and my first time in India as well!
Here’s some footage Juggy and I put together from the wedding. Originally, I was supposed to photograph, but I thought it be nice for our gorgeous couple to get some footage of the day. So Satpal shot and I filmed.
This is one camera switching between a monopod (with a broken foot thanks to my luggage), gorilla pod and handheld.
…and it’s almost impossible to find a decent internet connection! We’ve finished up Jitinder & Gagan’s wedding in Ludhiana, it was an absolute blast – Punjabi weddings in India are a LOT different than the ones in Canada. Punjabi’s in Punjab look for every opportunity to party.
That brings us here to Rajasthan at the Merwara Estate Hotel to shoot Yesha & Vikram. This place is gorgeous, I’ll try and upload photo’s as soon as possible.
I have a million e-mails to get back to and will do so whenever I can find a solid internet connection.
Santir & Mandeep are so unbelievably photogenic, it’s hard to catch them when they aren’t looking fabulous. All smiles on a delightful shoot – 3 seasons to go – can’t wait.
Kirat & Gurj are awesome, they are so easy to photograph and came in with so many ideas of their own. They’re getting married next year in England… with out us - we were booked. (yep, that’s two in a row). So instead, we shot a wicked shoot here at home. England would have been awesome though …some day.
The best thing about this job is the awesome reactions from our couples! Here’s what Kirat & Gurj had to say on Facebook: (oh by the way, if you ever want to read comments, check us out on facebook, we get zero on the blog.)
Big thank you to you and your team for the amazing shots you guys took, the pictures came out better than anything we could hope for, also thank you for making me and Kirat feel comfortable and just ourselves during the shoot! You guys really know what your doing. I look forward to working with you again!
Peace,
Gurj
OMG Kamal…We absolutely LOVE them!!!! Thank you sooo much for everything!!! They are amazing…I’m actually speechless right now!
Thanks again for making our memories so beautiful!
Pashpinder & Sunny got married… without us . Sunny called me a few weeks after his wedding and asked if we could re-do some park shots for them. Here’s a quick shoot in and around Mississauga City Hall.
Wow. This was fun! Here’s a great example of one ‘little’ unexpected variable that changed everything. Originally, there was supposed to be an SUV driving Srihari & Amit around. It turned out that the company had mistakenly sent out all their SUV’s and ended up giving our beautiful couple a party on wheels (well actually, you can thank the bridal party for the party part).
Harp is a HUGE mixed martial arts fan. When these two approached us with the idea of a UFC pre-fight interview, I was all over it (well actually, I watched while Juggy did all the work), I’m up for anything MMA (I’m a junkie too). What an AWESOME way to pump up a party! Jasika and Harp played this before their entrance and it set the tone for a dance off to be remembered!
